Transforming a Garage into a Dream Suite: The Stallcop Project
What began as a typical garage has transformed into a stunning master suite and functional mudroom, blending modern comfort with rustic charm.
The Stallcop project involved converting a garage into a master suite and mudroom. We turned the original garage into a primary bedroom for the clients, a bathroom, and a generous walk-in closet. We extended the driveway to add a new garage in front of the conversion so they wouldn't lose their garage space.
Throughout the conversion, we introduced a variety of design features that added character and warmth to the space:
Shiplap Galore: We adorned the walls with shiplap, a hallmark of rustic design that adds texture and a sense of charm. This classic feature is not only appealing but also establishes a cozy ambiance throughout the suite.
Beams: Incorporating wooden beams into the ceiling design brought a touch of traditional craftsmanship and created an inviting, spacious feel in the master suite.
Brick Walkway: The mudroom features a beautiful brick walkway, providing a practical yet stylish entry into the home. This added a timeless element reminiscent of country homes, enhancing the overall aesthetic and functionality of the space.
